The Activity aims to:
- synergize the spirit of environmentalism;
- make culture of environmental protection a way of life; and
- achieve the 7th Millenium Development Goal (MDG) of ensuring environmental sustainability.
The target participants to this activity are individuals, organizations, businesses, academic, religious institutions, media, government and non-government organizations (NGOs) who have genuine passion for the environment.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled: Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
