15th National Educators' Conference

The IBON Partnership in Education for Development (IPED) will conduct its 15th National Educators' Conference with the theme "The Filipino Educators' Role in Promoting Environmental Justice, Peace and Development" on May 1-4, 2012 at the Circon Businessman's Inn, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The Conference aims to serve as a venue in raising awareness and deepening the insights of the educators and school officials on the concept of environmental justice and its interrelations with the country's pursuit of genuine peace and human development, including how schools can contribute in developing environmentally-minded students.

The expected participants to this activity are the Social Studies teachers and coordinators, as well as teachers and coordinators in the Sciences and Values Education subjects, and principals or administrators from both public and private elementary and secondary schools.

Participants coming from partner-schools of IPED shall be given full or partial discounts in joining the conference depending on their amount of subscription. The live-in participants from other schools shall pay the registration fee of Four Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP4,500.00) each to cover the registration, food and accommodation, certificates and handouts, while the live-out participants shall pay a registration fee of Two Thousand Two Hundred Pesos (PhP2,200.00) each.

Interested schools heads (SHs), teachers and coordinators must submit their confirmation forms on or before March 30, 2012.
