2013 Yes for Peace-Bayanihan Para sa Kapayapaan Campaign

This Office announces the conduct of the 2013 Yes for Peace-Bayanihan Para sa Kapayapaan Campaign.
This Campaign aims to:

1. encourage peace-loving Filipino to speak as one; and

2. provide a democratic people’s mandate for a comprehensive peace process.

To encourage participation and attain the target 10,000,000 responses to the campaign, regional directors (RDs), schools division/city superintendents (SDSs) and district supervisors (DSs) are requested to designate a Yes for Peace Campaign coordinator who will actively advocate, organize and monitor activities of both public and private elementary and high schools in their respective areas of jurisdiction.

To empower themselves to be effective advocates for the campaign and thereby help restore confidence in a transparent and participative peace process, designated regional, division, district and schools Yes for Peace campaign coordinators are enjoined to attend the Yes for Peace Symposium/Orientation for Educators and Students on September 27, 2013 in selected colleges/universities nearest their respective places of assignment and/or homes.

To maximize participation in the spirit of Bayanihan and minimize the consequent work load that it may bring, the Yes for Peace ten questions based on the four Goals for Peace and the six paths to Peace being pursued by the government have been reduced to three.

To sychronize Yes for Peace activities in all schools nationwide during the Ten Million in Ten Days Phase of the Campaign (November 8-17, 2013), RDs, SDSs, DSs and school heads (SHs) are encouraged to follow the Bayanihan Para sa KKK (Kapayapaan, Kaunlaran, Kasaganahan) Guidelines.

To test the effectiveness and reliability of online dissemination of information and submission of reports within DepEd and to facilitate the preparation of the reports to be submitted to the Office of the President on November 30, 2013, the said officials are also requested to facilitate the preparation and submission of reports within the schedule outlined in the Bayanihan Para sa KKK Guidelines.

The venues and coordinators of the symposia; the Bayanihan Para sa KKK Guidelines; and the Yes for Peace questionnaires and report forms are downloadable at http://yesforpeace.yolasite.
