National Bi-Annual Conference of Secondary Education Division Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), in cooperation with the Philippine Association of Secondary Education Division Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs (PASECAC) will hold its Bi-Annual Conference on July 26-29, 2011 with the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) as the host. The venue will be announced in a DepEd Advisory. This conference will focus on the collective concerns/efforts and future directions in secondary education, specifically on the following:

1. Status of Implementation of Open High School Program (OHSP);
2. Updates on Government Assistance to Private Education (GASTPE);
3. Status of Implementation of the Child-Friendly School System (CFSS);
4. Status of Implementation of the following Special Programs:

(1) Special Program for the Arts (SPA);
(2) Special Education (SPED);
(3) Special Program for Sports (SPS);
(4) Special Program for Foreign Language (SPFL);
(5) Special Program for Journalism (SPJ);
(6) Engineering and Science Education Program (ESEP); and
(7) Technical and Vocational (Tech-Voc) Education.

5. Regional Activities; and
6. Issues and Concerns of the Association.
   

The participants to this activity are the Secondary Education Division Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of the sixteen (16) DepEd regions, BSE Director and Assistant Director, the Director and Assistant Director of the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), and three (3) Education Program Specialists from BSE. Attendance of the participants shall be on official business.

Enclosed are the List of Participants (Enclosure No.1) and the Program of Activities (Enclosure No. 2).

A registration fee of Five Thousand Pesos (PhP5,000.00) shall be charged to each participant to cover the cost of board and lodging subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

An Advisory shall be issued for the reports for submission and presentation, and arrangement relative to arrival/departure of participants and other related matters.
