Revised Implementing Guidelines for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs)

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) issued the Revised Implementing Guidelines for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs) in higher education. The guidelines will provide educational opportunities for all qualified beneficiaries who are entering freshman college or tertiary students including those with disabilities:
The students may choose from the following programs:
  1. Scholarship Programs
    1. Full-Merit - PhP15,000.00/semester
    2. Half-Merit - PhP7,500.00/semester
  2. Grant-in-Aid Programs
    1. Tulong-Dunong
      1. Study Grant Program for Solo Parents and their Dependents - PhP6, 000.090 / semester
      2. DND-CHED-PASUC Study Grant Program - PhP5,000.00/semester
      3. OPAPP-CHED-SGPRR (Study Grant Program for Rebel Returnees) - PhP2,500.00/ semester
      4. CHED Special Study Grant Program for:
        1. Senate - PhP2,500.00/semester
        2. House of Representatives - PhP2,500.00/semester
  3. Student Loan Program
    • Study-Now-Pay-Later-Plan (SNPLP) - PhP7,500.00/semester

The general requirements of these programs are as follows:
  1. must be a Filipino citizen of good moral character;
  2. must be a high school graduate or a candidate for graduation from high school; and
  3. must have at least eighty (80%) general weighted average (GWA) based on Form 138 and a general scholastic aptitude (GSA) in the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE), as follows:
    • 90% above - full time
    • 85% above - half merit
    • 80-84% - grant-in-aid and student loan program
  4. combined Annual Gross Income of Parents/Guardian not to exceed PhP300,000.00; and
  5. must not be more than 30 years of age at the time of application except for OPAPP-CHED-SGPRR.
