Center for the Professional Advancement of Educators (CPAE) National Seminar-Workshop on Campus Journalism

The Center for the Professional Advancement of Educators (CPAE) will hold the National Seminar-Workshop on Campus Journalism with the theme "Campus Journalism: Gearing Up for Local and Global Challenges” on September 21-23, 2012 at the Almont Beach Resort in Lipata, Surigao City.
The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
  1. discuss to the participants the rudiments of campus journalism;
  2. engage them in critical discussions of the role of campus journalism in the society; and
  3. train them in the various categories of campus journalism such as editorial writing, news writing, feature writing, sports writing, copy reading and headline writing, photojournalism, editorial cartooning, scriptwriting and radio broadcasting.
The target participants to this activity are school administrators, supervisors, principals/school heads, coordinators, school paper advisers, and interested students.

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.”
