In its mobile app, SSS adds BPI as a new payment method.
"""The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has been added as a new payment gateway by the Social Security System (SSS) for members who wish to conveniently pay their contributions through the SSS mobile app. ,'_com-box-3','ezslot_4',183,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-box-3-0');
Individual members, such as Self-Employed, Voluntary, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), who already have BPI accounts can now pay their SSS contributions from the comfort of their homes in a fast, convenient, private, and secure manner.
According to Aurora C. Ignacio, President and Chief Executive Officer of SSS, the new online payment gateway comes at an ideal time for the pension fund's transition to digital platforms because most members are already familiar with the various electronic and online facilities. ,'_com-medrectangle-3','ezslot_5',191,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-medrectangle-3-0');
“The transition is actually one of the top priorities under the new charter, despite the fact that the pandemic played a significant role in SSS focusing its resources on the digitalization of its core and business processes. Ignacio stated, ""We are pleased that our payment partners are also integrating their systems with ours to further improve our services through secure and trouble-free transactions.""
The SSS mobile app can only be downloaded by SSS members from Google Play, the Apple App Store, or the Huawei AppGallery. The member's registered login information are required by the app. Account SSS. By clicking the ""Generate PRN/SOA"" icon in the SSS mobile app, they can then generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN).
The ""Pay"" button in the interface lets members pay immediately or download a PDF copy of the PRN. They must select ""BPI"" as the channel for their payment, then tap ""OK"" to confirm the requested payment information, and finally ""PROCEED"" to be taken to the secure BPI website.
Members are required to enter their BPI login information and select their preferred account on the BPI authentication page. After that, BPI will send a one-time PIN (OTP) with six digits to the enrolled mobile number of the member, which they will need to enter to confirm and finish the payment process. The date and time of the successful payment, PRN, applicable period, SSS contributions, total contribution, total payment, and transaction reference number will be displayed in the BPI and SSS mobile app notifications. For each successful transaction, the BPI account will be charged a convenience fee of 15.
SSS members can pay for their contributions not only through BPI, but also through their PayMaya accounts and other online payment options provided by partner banks and SSS collection partners.
“Given that the community quarantine is preventing people from moving around, we are still looking into additional online payment options to make it easier for our expanding membership. Our primary objective is to convince them to use online platforms rather than physically visiting the branches. Ignacio said, ""We are focused on improving our online payment transactions as well as the fact that all of our services can already be accessed online using the website, mobile app, and other electronic and self-service channels.""
Members can follow the ""Philippine Social Security System"" Facebook page, the ""mysssph"" Instagram account, the ""PHLSSS"" Twitter account, and the ""MySSSPH Updates"" SSS Viber Community account for updates and additional information. ”'_com-box-4','ezslot_7',193,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-box-4-0');
