2011 Annual National Conference and General Meeting of the Linguistic Society of the Philippines (LSP)

The Linguistic Society of the Philippines (LSP) will hold its 2011 Annual Conference and General Meeting on August 19-20, 2011 at the Ricardo Leong Hall, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. With the theme, "First Languages First: Mother Tongues and National Development, " the conference aims to:

1. act as a platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings on the role of the mother tongues in national development in economic, cultural, and educational terms; and
2. widen the debate on mother tongue education to cover a wide range of issues concerning education and social transformation.
   

The participants to this activity are the following: (1) LSP members; (2) non-members; (3) teachers; and (4) administrators from both public and private elementary and secondary schools.

The registration fee, which will be charged to each participant to cover conference kit, lunch and snacks, certificates, and access to all sessions, is as follows:
