This Teaching Guide on the Integration of Financial Literacy in Sibika at Kultura and Heograpiya , Kasaysayan at Sibika provides school administrators, teachers and pupils with basic concepts and principles which will help them develop economic values focused on saving for economic growth and development. The guide consists of two parts: Part I shows the matrix of financial literacy concepts and messages and the entry points of integration found in the learning competencies of Sibika at Kultura Grades I-III and Heograpiya, Kasaysayan at Sibika Grades IV- VI . The matrix of integration will serve as guide for the teachers on how the integration can be done. Part II consists of series of lessons (aralin) to be taught by the teachers per grade level. Every lesson consists of the following parts:
Title of the lessonThe Teaching Guide was developed through series of workshops and validated and tried out in selected schools and divisions located in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Refinement and finalization were based on the feedback, comments and suggestions gathered from the field tryout as well as from the experts in financial literacy and Sibika at Kultura and Heograpiya, Kasaysayan at Sibika. Finally, the Guide endeavors to translate knowledge into actions done by children which eventually will be embedded in their adult lives.
