"There're 3 main reasons that cause the iPhone 6 Frame and LCD Separation:

1. The LCD assembly and frame was assembled by cheap glue, which is not sticky enough to meet the higher requirements as the iPhone 6’s frame is thinner and the screen is bigger than previous models.

2. The iphone 6 frame is thinner than previous models, the machinery as well as the process that is used for previous iPhone models are not applicable for iPhone 6 any longer.

3. Many third-party manufacturers are unable to do the assembly work in a dust-free room. Dust easily sticks to the glass unless these conditions are met, which will affect the quality of the glue. Besides, there’s a varnish on the bottom of the iPhone 6 glass, if it is not sticky enough and coming off, the frame is guaranteed to come off as well.

John, from what I experienced with 5/5S/5C screens, it's a wide spread issue that affects a lot of screens. They're either rejects or just standard production at some cheap factory.

iPhone 6 original screen replacement $109 at Apple. None of us have any business replacing iPhone 6 screens--especially if the aftermarket screens are held together with chewing gum. :(

Hi guys. After struggling with the same problem, I am happy to report the solution. You'll need to get Locktight Epoxy Plastics, it comes in a purple label and looks like a two part syringe. Be sure to remove the screen from the phone and disassemble the metal led backing plate. Clean the old glue off as best possible and wipe the surfaces to be glued with a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol to ensure clean surfaces. Apply the glue to the frame and position on glass(you don't need a lot of glue here, don't want it spewing everywhere). Apply pressure to the frame and be careful it doesn't shift and dries crooked, this can easily happen as the frame is very thin. Be particularly sure to apply pressure to the top corners of the screen +frame (corners closest to the front facing camera). I used 3 empty bottle of 1800 tequila, one on each of the corners described. I used one bottle on top of my leather wallet which distributed pressure among the lower tabs of the frame. You may be able to use clothespins or a heavy txt book. Once you are sure the frame is sitting straight, Let it sit for 15-20 minutes with the weight. Wipe off residual glue with rubbing alcohol and/or small flat head screwdriver. Assemble everything and enjoy. Cheers ! No more frame separation!!!!!!! FYI this Locktight epoxy most closely remebles oem characteristics of thin and elasticity.

Take it to an Apple Store. I took mine (out of warranty), prepared to spend around $110 for the repair and ended up paying nothing because they discovered the problem resulted from a swollen battery, which is a safety issue, and therefore, no charge.

"This happened to me twice, exact same spot and all. Both times it was not a defect with the screen, but actually the battery or hardware inside. Something caused the battery to swell, almost doubling in width.

I had a verizon charger, which was suspected to be defective and somehow causing this to happen, that i used exclusively for both batteries. but i still have yet to figure out if that is what caused the swelling or if it was something els within the phone. I also needed a new charging port sometime after the first swollen battery, which tells me that there is a good chance it was the charger.

if anyone els has had the swollen battery as the cause of their screen popping out and had a verizon (black block/ not the iphone charger) charger please respond as i am curious as to what the cause is."
