How did you identify a problem with the integrated nic in the mother b

My network port does not connect via ethernet, the machine does not recognize the connection, and nothing appears on the bios, I can not identify if it is a software or hardware problem.

"If you are not sure if the problem is hardware, try pinging the local network adapter. Open a command prompt and type ""Ping 127.0.0.1"" and enter. If the local adapter is working it will respond. if it times out then it is either the driver or the adapter is defective.

If the network adapter is on the mother board, you may have to replace the motherboard. If it is an adapter that is connected to the mother board then you should look for a similar network adapter (usually PCI)."
