replaced screen - now it vibrates, but won't start up

I replaced screen, now phone will not start up, when i plug it in it vibrates continuously, but screen won't come on. iTunes recognises it. the power on/off button needs replacing, but did not affect operation previously to screen change (screen was cracked, but still working).

This is definitely an LCD issue as I have seen it many times, and replacing the LCD always does the trick. Sometimes it can just be seated incorrectly and just needs to be pushed in properly. But the LCD is what's causing the problem anyway!

Mine did the same thing, I tried all the connections 3 times and I was about to give up, but then I plugged it in and held down the power button and the home button to reset it and it finally turned on.

only thing is either its not connected right or you have damaged the lcd cable again

I had this issue start spontaneously after a customer brought back a device. Long story short - I found some insulating paint had worn off one of the cables (power cable) and was grounding/shorting against the mid-frame (at the top of the battery). I re-insulated with Kaptan tape, and the problem was corrected. Hope this helps.

Could be a defective replacement LCD screen. Try another one. The first one I bought failed, too, but they sent another and everything worked fine.
