System freezes don't know cause, occasionally won't boot into windows

Dell Dimension 4600 seems to have a problem that I am unable to identify. The system occasionally fails to boot into windows leaving me with just a blinking cursor in the top left corner of the screen. Other time the system will boot and run for an unpredictable period of time, usually not for more than a few hours and will freeze up, not ever recovering. When it does this the only thing that works for any purpose is to press the power button and hold until a force shutdown occurs. This returns to the initial issue of the system possibly failing to boot windows.

You may want to check for blown or swollen capacitors. This can lead to all sorts of software instability and blue screen's.

"Hey, you can follow the steps below to fix your Windows boot problem:

Step 1: Insert a blank CD into your computer. Download and launch Windows Boot Genius on another workable computer and click ""Burn"". Only one click of mouse, you can finish burning a boot CD.

Step 2: This step is operated on the computer that won't boot up. Insert CD onto your computer. And set BIOS to boot your computer from CD, instead of hard drive. It will reboot automatically and access to the CD.

Step 3: Then you will load to system. Launch this program under Win PE. Select ""Windows Rescue "" to follow the built-in wizard to finish fixing booting problems."
