Will Samsung 950 Pro work in Dell XPS 13 9350?

Will Samsung 950 Pro work in Dell XPS 13 9350?

I just bought a xps 13 9350 with the core i5, 8gb's ram and a 128gb ssd (turns out its the Samsung cm871 m.2). I was planning on replacing the drive immediately with a 512GB and didn't want to give Dell $500+ or more to do it (plus, I wanted to stick to a non-touchscreen lower res display for better battery life).

I did a similar thing, installed Samsung 2 TB SSD NVMe 960 Pro on my Dell XPS 13 9360. It works without a problem or any additional installation steps with Ubuntu 17.10, but the thing I noticed is that there is now noise(coil noise, coil whine) in my headphones every time there is load on SSD, and even without heavy load there is lower small noise. I am not sure if it is SSD, but Googling around it seems this is the issue with some high density Samsung SSDs, and it seems XPS is even more susceptible to this than other devices.
