Win XP 64 bits recognizes 8 gigs but only fills up 4 gigs

Win XP 64 bits recognizes 8 gigs but only fills up 4 gigs

I am running Windows XP 64 bit with 8 Gigs of ram. The 4 sticks (same brand, different speeds) are recognized in the Windows System Properties -> General tab.

I have since replaced this computer - I do not know why it was behaving like this. I cannot delete the question because of the other answer which isn't quite right.
