How can I unlock Motorola G5 pattern lost.

Help ? We have forgotten the pattern to unlock my phone. Is there any way other than a factory reset to recover my access? Thx.

Go to nearest trash bin toss phone. Go buy a better brand. That's what I did.

"A great reason to enable USB Debugging on your device.

If you can't find a solution. Enter Bootloader Mode by holding down Vol - & Power. Press Vol - twice to get to the Recovery Mode option and press Power. When the Android/Warning sign shows up, Hold Power and press Vol - to enter Recovery Mode.

Before we continue, be 100% sure you know the email address(account) and password you used when setting up your device. Hard Resetting will enable the FRP Lock or Factory Reset Protection Lock. It requires the user to enter the previous account info before getting full control. Having your account info is crucial or you'll be locked out of your phone. MotoReaper will bypass that FRP lock and the program is only for PhoneLab students. Although, I have seen it leaked so you may be able to save yourself the 40$ to register for PhoneLab.

Moving on...

You're going to be choosing Wipe Data/Factory Reset, so hopefully you're phone was set up to sync/backup your pictures and whatnot cause this will wipe it clean. Press Vol - until Wipe Data/Factory Reset is highlighted. There will be a warning in red stating that doing this will require you to sign in with the previous account information, Press Power to select. Select Userdata Only, the second option is only if you intend on getting rid of your device, Press Power and let it work, cycle and reset.

Disclaimer: This is a last resort solution if no other fix works since you lose all your data.

Unlocking your Bootloader and installing TWRP would allow you to navigate to the files for the screenlock and delete those files. This method removes the lockscreen but will void your warranty from the Bootloader unlocking. Without that and Root you're options are limited to remember it or performing the steps above.

I hope this helps. Good luck."
