My rear door wont shut

My rear door wont shut The catch on the rear door of my 52 reg C3 is not working. The door simply wont shut no matter what i do?

Had that happen to me once. Somehow the latch gets in the closed position with the door open and blocks closing. Here's what I did--with the door open make sure its unlocked and operate the door handle. Hold it open and using a screwdriver flip the door latch to the open position. It should operate normally then. Good luck. Ralph
