Residue on Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer head

We used this printer, which has been dedicated to printing photos only, to print transfers. Now it leaves residual marks the length of the print (16x20). Is there any way to clean the inside of the machine? We have run the cleaning operation and there is no improvement.
