The machine just doesnt power up anymore.

No lights or nothing after plugged in and power on. Is there a fuse? Where should I begin in troubleshooting the board?

As oldturkey03 said I would suspect the fuse first. Mine too was not powering up and when it did it would not recognizing the tray being in place. I took it apart looked for any easy electronic problems: fuse, burnt areas indicating over heating or failed electrical components / short, loose electrical connections etc. Never found what the exact problem was but something may have been loose because after doing the above and putting it back together it worked:)

My J9 has a sneaky power on toggle near power cord entry to machine and can be accidentally turned off if moving machine or cleaning counter near machine.

"@oldturkey03 - that breakdown was very helpful in getting the machine apart. Thank you for the great wok in creating and posting. The custom tool for the oval headed screws is readily available now and cost about $10 from ebay or similar.

My machine refusesto show any signs of powering up. It’s not the fuse as I can measure 240V AC making it to the PCBs. So suspecting there is something wrong with the power supply PCB or further down the line. No sign of damaged components - either burnt or capacitors that have blown.

So wondering if anyone has any info on the PCBs. I have found quite detailed repair guides for TVs on youtube but so far nothing for J5s."

"@oldturkey03 - thanks for your response and interest. Here’s the PCB images.

They are not easy to get clearly. In some places discoloration that looks like over-heating but it is not that way on the actual PCB.

The closest I’ve found to a circuit diagram of the PIXX-PRD-12 board is on page 4 of this pdf - the one labeled PIXX-PRD-13. It’s not exact however the components (e.g. the diodes and labels) show the same general intent."

I just bought a used Jura and it would not turn on. I found that the micro switch on the rear of the machine, which is operated by the small access door at the top, had become loose. Pushed it back in place everything worked fine
