Why are my Brakes hard to push all of a sudden?

Why are my Brakes hard to push all of a sudden? My brakes have no play all of a sudden, very hard to stop even pushing as hard as I can. The blinkers went out at the same time. I've checked fuses and none blown, wipers also just cut out. 95 Toyota 4runner 4x4

Actually they are connected. Most likely the brakes stopped working because the windshield wipers are taking up too much power from the central unit. And vice versa. Try switching out your manifold plugs and it should fix both problems.
