Amazon fire tv stick-controller not working

Recently, my remote out of the blue stopped working, I replaced the batteries, but nothing happened. I used my iPad to control it instead. Then I was really dumb and factory reset the stick. The problem is now I can’t control it with my iPad. Btw, I tried hdmi Cec, nothing. Please help me
