Dryer timer advances sometimes

Dryer timer advances sometimes My dryer timer stopped advancing, but when I disconnect and/or wiggle the wires I can get it to advance for a short period of time then have to disconnect/wiggle the wires again to get another short run time. Would this be a faulty timer? or is there something else that can cause the timer to run intermittently? Thanks for any help! ANSWERS:
