fridge got warm, but the freezer stayed nice and cold

fridge got warm, but the freezer stayed nice and cold I have a small apartment sized Haier fridge. Everything was working GREAT until I dropped something behind the fridge. Then my fridge got warm, but the freezer stayed nice and cold. I removed the big tray that fell behind the fridge and still no cold air in the fridge. Thinking this might be a coincidence bc I am noticing a LOT of frost in my freezer which is not normal. My fridge was only $400. How much do these repairs cost? I live in a small area where I'm sure they will charge me an arm & a leg to fix. Perhaps I should chuck this (donate to someplace) and get a new one? I'm a little handy but there are so many variables I'm not sure I can figure this out on my own.

"@Sudesh Pall

There are 4 different variations of your fridge model.

Click on your particular model to find the parts diagrams for the model.

Then you need to check as shown in the answer above as to what the problem may be. The parts diagrams will show where each component is located e.g. defrost heater, evaporator fan etc.

If there is an ice build up another thing to check if the heater and the fan are OK and what is not mentioned above is the drain tube that leads from below the evaporator unit to the evaporator pan under the compartments near the compressor unit. If the drain is blocked then the defrost meltwater cannot drain away during the auto defrost cycle and will refreeze again when the cycle is finished and will continue to build up until it stops the fan or blocks the air damper chute leading to the refrigerator compartment"

"Start with the easiest things to check:

The door gasket of your fridge may be defect, check it pls

Check the mode of the thermostate https://abc-repair.com/

Look at the backside of the fridge, the condenser coils and clean up the debris

Does the refrigerator make any noise in the upper part? - evaporator fan

Noise in the lower part - compressor fan.

Any way something is wrong with the air flow"
