How to disable WiFi Direct?
– Roku does not provide a user-configurable "off switch" for WiFi Direct.

I don't know about 2.4ghz interference (that spectrum is unusable where I live due to overcrowding) but I was able to solve the problem in 5ghz and I suspect this will fix it in 2ghz too http://www.netconsonance.com/2016/06/how...
I have the same problem, I have a 5GHz WiFi and my solution is to unplug it until I want to use it. I can't find any other way.
Roku Premiere has a Wired and Wireless setting. I use Netgear Powerlines in electric outlets .. and don’t have any wi-fi in the house. Works great. Buy an Arris SB8200 modem .. don’t use Spectrum’s. Arris has wireless models. You can buy on amazon.
