Ice maker and light in freezer drawer stopped working (Whirlpool)

Ice maker and light in freezer drawer stopped working (Whirlpool) I have a Whirlpool WRB322DMBW00 with a freezer drawer. The light and ice maker inside the freezer stopped working. Sometimes the kids will leave the drawer slightly open which causes frost buildup. Any ideas on what to check and how to repair? Thank you!

"This happened on the bottom-drawer freezer on my Whirlpool WRF535SMBM00. The light switch on this model does double-duty — it also shuts off the icemaker while the drawer is open, so it doesn’t dump a load of ice on the floor. Mine went bad due to frosting issues (the drawer was falling ajar because the drawer gear had failed). For fun, I disassembled the old switch and found major arc burns on the contacts.

Not sure how it relates to your model, but if your freezer light switch has three pins, that’s probably the culprit."
