Whirlpool WRX7355DBM00 ice maker stopped working

Whirlpool WRX7355DBM00 ice maker stopped working The ice maker in my whirlpool fridge stopped making ice. Before buying a new one, was wondering if there was a way to confirm it’s the ice maker and not something else. I pulled it out - nothing was blocking the path of the water coming into it, although there isn’t any water actively coming into it. Wondering if this is on purpose so water doesn’t just keeping dripping in when it’s not working. Water dispenser works fine. I put some water in the unit to see if it would spit them into the tray, but it didn’t.

"I think I figured it out. There is a diagnostic sheet under the top-right hinge cover (on the front-right top of the fridge) with instructions on running diagnostics. It says to test the ice maker - jump T and H. To get to that you have to pop off the white front cover and then unscrew the black piece that’s covering those holes. When you put a jump wire into both those holes, the ice maker should start turning. I tried it and the ice maker didn’t turn at all, so I’m going to buy a new ice maker.

I will come back to this post and confirm whether replacing the ice maker worked."
