Picture shuts off after a few seconds.
My RCA TV. Picture goes out after a few seconds but I still have sound.. and if I push the menu button the TV shuts off..
ANSWERS:
superdadhornak could be the power board not supplying continous power to the backlight array. Could be a bad t-con board. When your screen goes black, use a flashlight and shine it at an angle against the screen. See if you can still make out shapes and silhouettes. If so it is your backlight. You would need to give us the model number for your TV so we can get you more information to hopefully guide you to fix your TV.
