Remote not working or TV not working?

after 2 years in storage control light on tv working. but can not turn on tv using remote control. there is no on/ of switch on tv itselve. bought new universal remote, tried to turn on using varios codes, also automatic code search, no sugsess screen stais black no sound. any one has an idea what to do ??Television Repair
