Sound but no video, blinking power LED, going slowly insane
I got this Samsung 40H5003 TV as a fixer-upper, so I don't know what happened to it. The power LED will blink a few times and then stay on or off if I use the remote's power button, but the TV won't turn on. I've already replaced both the power and motherboards to no avail. I've verified that the TV will play sound, but I can't tell if the LCD panel is showing any picture, but on opening up the backlight assembly, I have determined that the backlight LED's will flicker once when the TV is first plugged in, but will not illuminate after that, no matter the state of the power button or the media that is plugged in. There's no voltage across the backlight strips' power terminals, no visible damage, and I've verified continuity across their power strips (two of them have power terminals at each end). I've verified continuity on each cable except the ZIF ribbon leading to the LCD. No combination of removing motherboard/ZIF/power button assembly/speakers turns the LED's on for more than a second.
