Thin black horizontal lines across TV: Sony KDL 42W706B.

ANSWERS:
"Macho Fantastico those are the lines I hate the most. It is usually an indication that your LCD driver board is/has failed. Either the bonded connection from that board to the LCD or on the LCD itself. The LCD driver board is bonded via very fine ribbon cables and cannot be replaced by us DIY’er due to the bonding required.
As for the rear cover removal, post some good pictures of it with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see and possibly figure out why it is still stuck.
