Why aren't the LEDs turning on when the ethernet cable is connected? When the device is receiving power, and the ethernet cable is plugged in, the LEDs indicating that the router is receiving internet from its source are not lighting up. What should I do to fix this issue?

"Problem: Not lit up at all

Keep in mind that the Ethernet light only lights up when there is an Ethernet cable running between the modem and a computer or other device. If the Ethernet light is not lit up, then there is no connection between the computer and modem.

What you can do

Check that the cable is securely inserted into one of the modem ports labeled, ETHERNET or DATA, as well as the correct port on your device.

Make sure you're using an Ethernet cable that is not damaged. The problem could be caused by a hidden kink, broken wire in the cable, or you could have a problem with the connector on either end of the cable. (If you're not sure if the cable is damaged, try using a brand new one or one that you've tested successfully on other devices.) If you only have connection problems when you try to connect a particular computer or device, the problem is likely with the device itself, and you'll need to have it repaired.
