eMoney Xchange: Application and How to Transfer Money from Your Unionbank Account to Your Globe GCASH or Vice Versa

Another innovative mobile banking feature of Unionbank is its eMoney Xchange. eMoney Xchange allows Unionbank accountholders to transfer money to and from your Globe GCASH wallet. So now it's easier for your to shop, transact business online, remit or transfer fund to your friends and family with Unionbank's eMoney Xchange. To apply for eMoney Xchange and to transfer money from your Unionbank Account to your Globe GCASH or vice versa, please follow the following steps:

How to Apply for eMoney Xchange?

1. First you should have a Unionbank account and an active GCASH wallet.

2. Prepare your Globe cellphone number and your Unionbank Account number at hand. Better to write them on a paper. Call the Unionbank call center contact no.: 84186 and tell the the agent that you will be applying for an eMoney Xchange. The agent will ask your Globe cellphone number and your Unionbank account number.

3. You will then receive an SMS in your cellphone that informs you to send your nominated REG KEY which you have told during your conversation with the call center agent.

4. After sending the REG KEY, you will be asked to nominate or create a Mobile Banking PIN (MPIN) via SMS. After these steps, you are now ready to use and enjoy eMoney Xchange.


How to Transfer Money from Your Unionbank Account to Your Globe GCASH or Vice Versa

It might be helpful to remember the following keywords:
G2U - means GCASH to Unionbank
U2G - Unionbak to GCASH
To transfer money from your Globe GCASH to your Unionbank Account:
  • Text G2U space <amount> to 2318.
  • Example if you send or transfer 1,000 pesos to your Unionbank Account:
    • Text G2U 1000 to 2318
  • Then you will be required to enter your GCASH PIN, the money will then be transferred to your Unionbank account
  • Cost or fee for each transfer: P7.50
  • Minimum amount of money for each transfer: P100
  • Maximum amount of money for each transfer: P20,000
  • Maximum daily withdrawal limit: P40,000 per day for GCash to Unionbank transfer
    • This daily withdrawal limit also applies to all GCash Cash Out transactions.

To transfer money from your Unionbank Account to your GCash Wallet:
  • Text U2G space <amount> to 2318.
  • You are required to enter your Unionbank Mobile Banking PIN.
  • Cost or fee for each transfer: P10.00
  • Minimum amount of money for each transfer: P100
  • Maximum amount of money for each transfer: P20,000
How to inquire balance available in your Unionbank account?
  • Text BAL to 2318


If you forgot your Unionbank Mobile Banking PIN (MPIN), just call Unionbank Call Center no.: 84186. And if you forgot your GCASH PIN, you can call Globe customer service representative at: 2882.

If you want to change your current Unionbank account (enrolled in eMoney Xchange) to another Unionbank account, you can call Unionbank Call Center no.: 84186

If you plan to buy a new Globe sim card and have a new Globe mobile number, you must call Unionbank Call Center no.: 84186. And ask to disable your old Globe mobile number which was enrolled in eMoney Xchange. And register your new Globe mobile number.

If you lost your phone, you shouldn't worry because all transactions require a Unionbank Mobile Banking PIN (MPIN). After three (3) failed tries of entering the MPIN, the eMoney Xchange will be automatically locked.

If you want to reset your MPIN, disable your current Globe cellphone number, or register a new Globe cellphone number for eMoney Xchange, just call 84186.



What if sending or transferring your money with eMoney Xchange fails?

If the transaction is not successful, the amount that you send or transfer either thru G2U or U2G, will be credited back the following banking day to your GCASH wallet or Unionbank account.

And if any unsuccessful transactions happened or if you have any questions, you can call 84186 anytime.
