1.Go to PHN/PHM’s table for interview | 1. Registers to the TB Symptomatics. | PHN/PHM | 5 minutes |
2. Get sputum cups for sputum collection and submit for sputum microscopy | 2. Give 3 sputum cups w/ instructions | PHN/PHM | 2 minutes |
3. Return after 3 to 5 days (or as scheduled) for laboratory result | After 3 to 5 days | ||
If smear positive, 4. Proceed to the Medical Officer for physical assessment/prescription of appropriate category of treatment | 3. Assesses and treats patients | MO | 2 minutes |
5. Go back to PHN/PHM for registration and treatment (TB registry) | 4. Registers in the TB registry | PHN/PHM | 2 minutes |
6. Take the first dose of anti-TB drugs under the supervision of a treatment partner | 5. Gives the first dose of the anti-TB drugs | PHN/PHM | 2 minutes |
