How to Report Brownout or Power Outage to VECO (Visayan Electric Company)

The second biggest electric company in the Philippines, VECO (Visayan Electric Company) acknowledge the importance of its customer's convenience by offering a simple "text-a-brownout" service to them.
Sometimes when you call VECO at their telephone number at times of brownouts or power outages in your area, you might encounter a busy signal especially when many calls are made at the same time. Likewise, the VECO Customer Service agent encounters the problem of receiving the same kind of report (brownout) again and again, thus wasting both of their valuable time. That's why VECO created a very simple and convenient service for customers to report brownouts. Just by texting using your mobile phone, you can successfully report brownouts in your area. Here are the three (3) ways to do that:

How to Report Brownout or Power Outage to VECO (Visayan Electric Company)

1.  Text ASKVECO OUTAGE VECO ACCOUNT ID. The Account ID can be found in your VECO bill.

For example: ASKVECO OUTAGE 1234560000 and send to 3918326 (for Smart/Talk 'N Text/Red Mobile subscribers) and 09229998326 (for Suncellular and other networks)

2.  Text ASKVECO OUTAGE COMPLETE ADDRESS. Complete address must include house number, name of street, name of subdivision or village, name of baranggay and city.

For example: ASKVECO OUTAGE #771 C. Padilla St., Duljo, Fatima, Cebu City

3.  Text ASKVECO OUTAGE POLE NO. The pole number can be found in the pole.

For example: ASKVECO OUTAGE V0123-2

Send this text message to and send to:
  • 3918326 (for Smart/Talk 'N Text/Red Mobile subscribers)
  • 09229998326 (for Suncellular and other networks).
If you need an urgent response from VECO, you can still report the brownout by calling their landline number at: (032) 230-8326.

Have you experience texting VECO in reporting brownouts? Is the service doing better?
