First National Training of Trainers (TOT) on Campus Journalism for Elementary Level

In compliance with the provision of Republic Act (RA) No. 7079, otherwise known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, the Philippine Association of Elementary School Paper Advisers (PAESPA), in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd), will conduct the First National Training of Trainers (TOT) on Campus Journalism for Elementary Level on July 27-29, 2012 (exclusive of travel time) at the Richville Mansion, EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
The Training aims to:
  • provide the participants with the necessary skills and technical knowledge on Collaborative Publishing, new trends on Digital Photojournalism, Radio Broadcasting and School Paper Management;
  • she with them the ideas on issues and concerns to improve the conduct of schools press conferences in their respective divisions and regions; and
  • update them on PAESPA activities.
The participants to this activity are PAESPA executive officers, current presidents and four (4) other officers of the Regional Association of Elementary School Paper Advisers (RAESPA), ex-Officio executive officers, one (1) executive officer from the division association, one (1) regional and one (1) division journalism coordinator.

A registration fee of Three Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP3,500.00) shall be charged to each participant to defray the expenses for board and lodging, training kit and module in journalism. Registration fees and transportation expenses of the participants shall be charged to local funds (MOOE), division or regional association funds or other special education funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The participants are expected to conduct the same training upon their return to their respective regions and divisions. A corresponding report on the conduct of said training shall be submitted to the Curriculum Development Division-Bureau of Elementary Education (CDD-BEE), Attention: Mr. Eldy U. Onas.
