The TOT aims to:
- orient the participants on the salient features and core element of the K to 12 Curriculum;
- develop their capacity to efficiently and effectively conduct the training of the Grades 1 and 7 teachers; and
- develop a core of trainers in each learning area who will serve as the national trainers on the K to 12 Curriculum.
The participants to this activity are as follows:
- Grade 1
They are experienced trainers from the seventeen (17) regions who will be selected by the regional directors (RDs) from the ranks of education program specialists (EPS), department heads, master teachers (MTs), teachers.
- Grade 7
They are experts trainers who will be provided by the DepEd identified Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs), Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Centers of Development (CODs), who will comprise fifty percent (50%) of the participants. The remaining fifty percent (50%) shall come from the region.
Note: The list of trainers from each region shall be transmitted to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Programs and Projects (Attention: Dr. Ruth Fuentes with telefax no.: (02) 637-4211, and e-mail address: asec4programs.projects@ gmail.com on or before April 15, 2012. The form prescribed for the list is contained in Enclosure No. 2.
The specific number of participants by grade level and learning area, in the case of Grade 7 is also contained in Enclosure No. 1. The number of participants should be strictly observed.
All participants are advised to be at the venue on Day 0 (a day before the training day). The first meal will be served on the night before Day 1.
The travelling expenses of the participants from the region to and from the training venue shall be charged to the Region and/or Division Local Funds. Those of the TEI's, COD's and COE's shall be charged to their respective institutions. However, board and lodging of all participants, trainers and management staff as well as supplies and materials, resource speakers' honoraria and other incidental expenses shall be charged to the Human Resource Training and Development (HRTD) Funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
