The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
- acquaint the participants with the conventions of oral interpretation of literature, which includes interpretative reading of poetry, declamation, dramatic monologue, choral speaking, readers theater, and chamber theater, as well as the performance of oration and jazz chants;
- train them on these forms of speech events and jazz chants as teaching strategies to build literacy and fluency; and
- equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to become trainers in relevant speech competitions.
The target participants to this activity are school administrators, supervisors, principals/school heads (SHs), coordinators, and English and Filipino teachers from both public and private elementary and secondary levels.
