The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
- develop the skills of the participants in identifying the different characteristics of children with ASD, ADHD and SPDs;
- help them identify and understand the obstacles and needs of the said children;
- help them develop simple accommodations and modification for practice use in the general education classroom; and
- address their needs through communication systems, environmental accommodations, scheduling and multi-modality presentation and outcomes.
The target participants to this activity are General and Special Education (SPED) teachers, university/college professors from both public and private schools, parents and school personnel who work and/or live with children with ASD, ADHD and SPDs.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-distruption–of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
