The scholarship program aims to provide the SPED teachers with knowledge and skills on the various educational programs as they keep pace with advances in researches and interventions and current trends in ASD.
Priority nominees shall come from the identified regions/divisions/schools where there is an urgent need for these SPED teachers (see Enclosure No. 1). These nominees shall be screened by the existing Regional Integrated Scholarship Committee (RISC) based on the criteria set in Enclosure No. 2. The deadline for submission of names of nominees to the SPED Division-BEE is on March 13, 2013. The list of candidates together with the documents and Memorandum of Agreement (Training Contract) duly signed by the proper authorities concerned (Enclosure No. 3) shall be forwarded to the SPED Division-Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE), DepEd Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City on or before March 22, 2013.
The SPED scholars are entitled to their salaries, course tuition fees, stipend and transportation allowances. The DepEd shall provide their per diem for two days (one day before and one day after) and travel expenses going to and from the venue. Participants are also advised to use the most economical mode of transportation. Payment shall be charged to BEE Funds (A.II.a.3) subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
