University of the Philippines Economics Towards Consciousness (UP ETC) Econ Leadership Summit

The University of the Philippines Economics Towards Consciousness (UP ETC) will conduct the Econ Leadership Summit on November 19, 2011 at the UP College of Engineering Theater, Diliman, Quezon City. The summit aims to:

1. raise the youth leaders' consciousness on the current status of the country;
2. promote the discipline of Economics as an effective analytical tool through an innovative way; and
3. impart practical skills among the youth that may allow them to function better as student-leaders.
   

This activity will consist of three (3) parts, namely: 1) Econskwela; 2) Forum on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); and 3) Simultaneous Workshops.

The target participants to this summit are the high school student-leaders (i.e. student council officers, club officers) and publication staff from both public and private schools nationwide.

The students from Luzon shall be charged a registration fee of One Hundred Pesos (PhP100.00) each, while the students from Visayas and Mindanao shall be provided with free admission. A fifty percent (50%) discount shall be given to students from public schools. The deadline for early registration is on September 30, 2011. Those from public schools, who shall register after the deadline shall pay Seventy Five Pesos (PhP75.00) each, while those from private schools who shall register beyond the said date shall pay One Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP150.00) each.
