The monthly change of the retail price index of selected construction materials in NCR inched up to 0.2 percent in November from 0.1 percent in October. From zero growth, the carpentry materials index went up by 0.3 percent; electrical and plumbing materials, 0.2 percent; and painting materials and related compounds, 0.4 percent. On the contrary, the miscellaneous construction materials index moved up at a slower rate of 0.1 percent from 1.0 percent while the same October rate of 0.1 percent was registered in the masonry materials index. The tinsmithry materials index had a zero growth from -0.3 percent.

The annual growth rate of the retail price index of selected construction materials in NCR picked up to 4.1 percent in November from 3.8 percent in October. The annual gain in electrical materials index was higher at 3.1 percent in November from 2.8 percent in October; masonry materials, 1.6 percent from 1.3 percent; painting materials and related compounds, 6.3 percent from 5.3 percent; and miscellaneous construction materials, 9.0 percent from 6.0 percent. On the other hand, annual uptick in carpentry and plumbing materials indexes were correspondingly slower at 4.9 percent and 2.2 percent from their respective previous month's rates of 5.9 percent and 2.6 percent. The annual change in tinsmithry materials index remained at 1.2 percent.
