The College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) of the University
of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman in collaboration with the Social Science
and Philosophy Research Foundation (SSRF) and Health Action Information
Network (HAIN), will hold the 2011 National Training Workshop on Gender
and Sexuality on October 26-2 8, 2011 at the U.P. CSSP Audio-Visual
Room, Diliman, Quezon City.
The activity aims to: - provide the participants with the theoretical and methodological understanding on issues of gender and sexuality for use in teaching, research, and professional practice;
- update their knowledge on social, economic, political and cultural issues configured in local and global contexts considering its relevance to gender and sexuality advocacies and strategies; and
- develop their increased capacities in gender and sexuality education for knowledge generation relevant to the country and the global community.
The participants are the elementary and high school teachers of Social Studies and Science nationwide. A registration fee of Three Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP3,500.00) will be charged to each participant, which covers the abstract papers, lunch (3) and snacks (6) and certificate of participation.
