The Workshop aims to:
- provide the teacher-participants, through dance, experiences that would enhance their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts, and how these can be used in making the teaching-learning experiences in the classroom more interesting and meaningful;
- provide them with resource materials on dance;
- help form address the problems and concerns of folk dance teachers and trainors; and
- pay tribute to Filipino dance researchers by reviving their works and acknowledging their contributions in the promotion of art education among the youth.
The teachers in all levels, dance trainors, teachers-in-charge of dance groups, dance directors, choreographers, teachers, and students who are members of dance groups, cultural officers, and cultural events coordinators are invited to attend on this activity.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
