The Symposium aims to:
- equip the trainors/teachers with the recent technology and competency-based knowledge and skills in apparel and jewelry-production;
- strengthen the apparel and jewelry field in its integration to the K to 12 Basic Education Program of secondary education; and
- provide a pool of qualified trainors/teachers in preparing individuals to be productive workers in the apparel and jewelry industry.
The target participants to this activity are administrators and instructors/teachers/trainors from state colleges and universities, secondary schools and other interested individuals engaged in the area of apparel and jewelry.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
