The Training aims to:
- upgrade the public high school teachers' competencies in teaching students with hearing impairment; and
- prepare the teachers in the inclusion of students in general education by training them in Sign Language.
The participants to this training are public secondary special education (SPED) teachers who participated in the Phase I training program from eighteen (18) identified secondary schools offering SPED programs for the deaf in the region.
The Link Center for the Deaf shall cover the cost of participants' training fee, materials (seminar kits and sign language manuals), and meals while lodging, travel as well as other related expenses during the conduct of the training shall be borne by the participants chargeable to local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
