In support to this commitment, the Department of Education (DepEd) has issued the enabling policies and guidelines to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the GASTPE Program effective School Year (SY) 2012-2013. The policies and guidelines are contained in the enclosure and have already reflected the anticipated implementation of Grade VII as part of the K to 12 Basic Education Program and the expansion of the Open High School (OHS) in ESC-participating private schools. The guidelines shall remain in effect starting SY 2012-2013 until otherwise amended.
