In a brief ceremony held at the Malacaang Palace on Monday, President Duterte personally presented the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to Mislatel chairman Dennis Uy.

Dito Telecommunity promised Internet speeds of 27 Mbps in its first year and 55 Mbps in its second, which would be comparable to Singapore's Internet connection speeds. In the coming years, the company intends to spend 279 billion yen.
With a six-month grace period, the company will forfeit a bond worth 25 billion yen and the frequencies the government has given to it if it fails to meet its obligations.
