The personal records of an SSS member can be found on the SSS E1 form, also known as the E-1 form. Before a person receives a social security number, the E1 form is used to apply for membership in the Social Security System. The application must include the applicant's personal information (such as name, date of birth, and home address), a list of beneficiaries or dependents, and, if self-employed, his profession or business. The applicant must submit the completed form and all required documents to the closest SSS branch office for approval.
The traditional method for becoming an SSS member is to personally complete and submit the SSS E1 form. You can apply to be an SSS member online through the SSS website, so this is no longer necessary. You can simply use your computer or mobile phone to fill out and submit an online form rather than writing down your personal information on a piece of paper. After that, the SSS will send you an email with your temporary SSS number and an acknowledgment of acceptance of your membership application. ,'_com-medrectangle-3','ezslot_5',191,'0','0'_('div-gpt-ad-_com-medrectangle-3-0');
You can request a copy of your E1 form online through the SSS member portal if you are already a member of the SSS and want one; you don't have to go to their office to get your personal record. You will receive a digital copy of your original SSS E1 form via email after a few months. The form can be downloaded, printed, and used for any purpose.
We'll show you how to use the SSS member portal to get a copy of your personal record or the SSS E1 form online in this article. Keep in mind that your personal record may take several months to arrive at your email, so only request the form if it is not absolutely necessary.

Step 4: Select ""Personal Record (E-1)"" by checking the box next to it on the Request Records page, and then click ""Submit.""
Step 5: This message will appear in a pop-up window: The supplied data will be transmitted to SSS by this action. Do you wish to carry on?” Select ""OK.""
Step 6: Your request for the SSS E1 form has been sent to you successfully. Your SSS-registered email address will receive a confirmation email with your transaction number. You will need your transaction number when contacting the SSS to follow up on your request, so don't delete this email.
How to View Your Request's Status To view your request's status, simply return to the Request Records page by clicking ""E-SERVICES"" and ""Request Records."" All of your previous requests, along with their request dates and email dates, are displayed just below the list of records to be requested.300,250],'_com-banner-1','ezslot_9',194,'0','0'_('div-gpt-ad-_com-banner-1-0');
Under the ""Email Date"" column, you will see the status ""Under Process"" if your document request is still being processed.
After making a previous request, you may have noticed that you are no longer able to request your personal record or the E1 Form. As a result, you should only make a request for a copy of your records if you absolutely require it for a crucial purpose. Be careful not to misplace your original copy of the SSS E1 Form.
How quickly will you receive your SSS E1 form?
The SSS may take as long as several months to process your request and send you the E1 form via email. Because the SSS will have to manually locate your records, digitally scan them, and then send them to your email, it probably takes that long. Each day, thousands of these requests are received by the SSS, which must manually process each one.
The previous request for the self-employed data record was made in April, as shown in the screenshot above; however, the requested record was only emailed in October, indicating that the entire process took more than six months. Additionally, given the current state of affairs, it is likely that it will take you longer to receive your SSS E1 form.250,250],'ezslot_11',195,'0','0'_('div-gpt-ad--0');
Log into your SSS online account on a regular basis to see how your request is doing. You can check your Spam folder to see if the form was delivered there if the status indicates that it was emailed to you but you have not yet received it.
The email may not arrive in your inbox until several days later on occasion. The date of the email in our previous request was listed as October 30, but it arrived on November 12. We are unsure whether this was a delay or an error in the data. In any case, you can wait at least 15 days, after which you can contact the SSS to follow up if the email hasn't arrived.
Don't forget to download the SSS E1 form and keep it in a safe place, like your computer, once you get it. You can print multiple copies of the form and keep them safe in an envelope. Keep in mind that you can only request your E1 form once, so don't lose your copy.
No matter what, do not delete the email that contains your SSS E1 form. Since the form is sent as an attachment, it can be downloaded as long as the email hasn't been deleted. You can still recover the email if you accidentally deleted it by moving it back to your inbox from the Trash folder. The majority of email clients, including Gmail, store deleted messages for up to 30 days.
In conclusion, you no longer need to visit the SSS office to obtain your personal record or E1 form. The rest will be taken care of once you log in to your SSS online account and submit a request for your records. Although it will take several months for the document to be sent to you and is not entirely automated, it is certainly preferable to visiting the SSS office and standing in line for hours.
