Internet won't connect to laptop but wireless will to ipad?

"It is likely a driver issue. If your network adapter has the incorrect driver or doesn't have one installed then you will not have internet access. You can use the device manager in the control panel settings. It will show you what driver is installed and if the device has any conflicts or if it is running smoothy. Your laptop likely has two network adapters. One for wireless and one for the wired. So device manager will help you see if they are working properly. To access the device manager go to the control panel menu and then hardware and sound then device manager. In device manager locate your network adapters and click on them to see all the driver info, ect. I've had this happen before and I noticed my driver was missing(not sure why?). I downloaded the driver, installed it and my internet was able to connect.

If you need a driver go to the Asus website and find the driver downloads section for your particular model. Download and install the correct drivers if needed. Hope this helps."
