My Rebel t3 is always Busy!

My Rebel t3 is always Busy! My Canon keeps responding with BUSY. It takes a while before I can take another photo.

Are you saving pics as RAW plus JPEG? You should be able to take several minutes of continuous shots in the highest quality JPEG picture format, but after a few shots in RAW or RAW plus JPEG format the buffering is really slow and a 'busy' message pops up.
